Eyelash Extensions is a technique where you are applying a synthetic semi-permanent eyelashes to each natural lash individually. By doing this we create a natural, yet full set of eyelashes. Much different than false strip eyelashes, this technique last 2-5 weeks. Recommending refills every 3-4 weeks to maintain the the appearance of the eyelash extensions. This technique should only be done by a trained professional.

Each any every client will wear differently. Depending on your lifestyle and day-to-day routine will determine the way the lashes will wear. However, the lash will only last as long at your natural lash does. Eyelashes have growth cycles, like all hair on our body. Its is completely normal to shed 2-5 natural lashes per day. Only difference is that there is an eyelash extension attached to your natural lash. To keep you lashes looking nice and full, we recommend you getting a refill every 2-4 weeks.

One of the biggest myths is that wearing eyelash extension ruin your natural lash. The extension itself will not damage the natural lashes. When applied correctly and properly by a licensed and trained professional, and with proper aftercare, they are safe and will not cause damage to your natural lashes. Damage usually happens with your lash artist is not using proper technique.

Full sets can take approximately 1-2 hours depending on the clients natural lashes and desired style and technique chosen. Lash Art LA have applied 1000’s of full eyelash extension sets, so we are very efficient and experienced with different types of lash types, as well as eye shapes. We always tell the client to set a side 2 hours for initial full set appointment. This 2 hour appointment time includes a consultation, applications of eyelash extensions, as well as check out and booking of next eyelash refill.

Classic lashes is a method using a single eyelash extension and apply it to 1 natural lashes using out quality brand of adhesive. Classic lashes is perfect for those clients who desire more separated-mascara look. Giving your lashes a natural/ medium fullness, while adding some length. Please keep in mind that in order to achieve this look, you must have a good amount of healthy natural lashes, and lashes must be able to support the classic extension.

Russian Volume lashes is an advanced technique method where we take multiple virtually weightless russian volume eyelash extension, and create a handmade fan/bouquet using our Lash Art LA custom tweezers and applying it to 1 natural lash. This Russian volume technique creates a more full an fluffy look and gives the lashes extra full coverage, fullness that cannot be created with classic eyelash extensions. The Russian volume technique will allow you to create a fan that has anywhere from 2-8 lashes within the fan. Russian volume is suitable for those clients who desire a more fuller and glamorous look. Which is great for those clients who have thin, sparse lashes who want more fullness to their lashes line and can’t achieve this with classic due to the condition of their natural lashes. Russian volumes level of fullness can vary, which allows us to customize a look suited to the clients desired look.

Just about anyone can enjoy the benefits of eyelash extensions. However, from time to time there will be certain conditions that prohibit someone from being able to wear them. Which would not make you a good candidate for eyelash extensions. If one or more of the following listed applies to you may not be a candidate for this service.

- Seasonal allergies that cause severe eye rubbing can cause damage to your natural lashes by rubbing on extension

- Medical Conditions and medication can have an effect on how the lash extension wear. Eyelash extensions should not be applied on individuals who have recently completed or are currently undergoing chemo-therapy, have severe alopecia or who suffer from Trichotillomania or trichinosis

- Have previously had a reactions to eyelash adhesives

Face sleepers can get eyelash extensions, please take note that the retention of extensions is not as great as someone who are back and side sleeper.

Lash Art La recommend that you wash your lashes with our recommended Lash Art LA eye wash 1-2 times a day. Rinsing the lashes well and completely drying the eyelash extension using a blow dryer on cool shot. After washing and drying we recommend you brush your eyelash extensions with a silicone mascara wand that is provide to you to take home at each lash appointment. You will be shown how to wash and care for them at your appointment. You can also find a video demonstrating how you properly wash your lashes, located on the blog section of our website.

Yes, we have lots of excepting mother come in for this service. Although eyelash extensions are completely safe procedure for an expecting mother, there are a few things to keep in mind before setting up an appointment:

Allergic reactions - Although allergic reactions are not exclusive to pregnant women. It is said that women who are pregnant can be a little more sensitive to allergies. This does not mean you will be reactive, but it is always best to consult your primary physician before making an appointment. ** please note that all of our in-house high quality products have been tested and is guaranteed to be safe for cosmetic use.

Process - Many expecting mothers should note that during the eyelash extension procedure, it could take up to 2 full hours. During this time, clients are required to lay flat on their backs. For expecting mothers we understand the importance of comfort, therefor we will have extra pillows available for mommies to be.

Please avoid any caffeine 4-5 hours prior to your eyelash appointment, as this will cause your eye to flutter during your the application. For best eyelash application, please come in with clean, makeup free eyes and eyelashes. Please remove all eye makeup prior to your appointment, to ensure you receive the most out of your treatment time. We recommend you wash before you arrive to your appointment. Avoid using waterproof mascara for at least 3 days prior (that stuff can be like cement to get off). Any makeup residue left on lashes will not allow correct bonding of the extension to natural eyelash.

You may not be a good candidate for permanent makeup/microblading if you have any of the following conditions:

Taking Isoretinoin (Accutane)
Pregnant or Nursing
Tendency to Keloid scar (please contact me)
Botox in the brow area which has altered the placement of your brows (please wait 2 months for the effects to wear off)
Under the age of 18
Serious diseases that can affect your body's healing process, such as cancer or autoimmune disorders (please consult with your physician)
Bleeding Disorders (please consult with your physician)
If you are taking any medications that contain blood thinners or affect your body's ability to heal, please consult with your physician with regards to getting a tattoo.

A Powder/Ombre brow is a form of permanent makeup that gives a similar effect to wearing powder or pencil on your brows. The procedure is performed using a micro-pigmentation machine. The results tend to last longer than microblading as the pigment is inserted deeper than the manual method of microblading and is best suited for individuals with oily skin or little to no brow hair.

Permanent makeup generally lasts up to 1-3 years. The pigment is placed under the dermis and cannot be washed or rubbed off so in that sense it is considered permanent. It is often referred to as "semi-permanent" because a touch-up will be required at some point. The cosmetic tattoo will begin to fade over time. The longevity of your cosmetic tattoo will depend on many factors such as the color of pigment used, skin type, lifestyle (sun exposure) and treatment of skin (dermabrasion, chemical peels, etc.).

Some clients describe feeling minimal pain and discomfort comparable to threading or waxing; while others report feeling barely any pain at all. The amount of pain will depend on the client's pain tolerance and body's reaction to anesthetic. We use two types of very effective topical anesthetic. We always do our best to make sure you are comfortable. Anesthetic can be applied throughout the procedure at any time if needed.

We begin by drawing the eyebrow design with an eyebrow pencil. Measurements are taken to ensure the eyebrows are even and proportional with the rest of the features. We work with you during this process to achieve your desired look along with the most flattering shape for your face and do not start the procedure until you approve. Pigment color is chosen to match your natural brow color and will be shown to you before we start.

Once the eyebrows are penciled in, we draw an outline with a surgical marker. This acts as a guide while we are doing the procedure.

Once we have the outline, we scratch the surface of the skin and apply the topical anesthetic. We allow the anesthetic to penetrate and numb the area. Once the area is numb we will begin tattooing.

The needles are dipped in pigment and implanted in the skin using a sweeping technique. The pigment is deposited under the dermis. This creates the tattoo.

Initially, the cosmetic tattoo will be darker and slight redness and swelling may occur. If redness and swelling are present, it tends to disappear within an hour. Although the cosmetic tattoo may appear darker initially, it's generally not noticeable to others. You can return to normal activities immediately. There is no down-time. The tattoo will start to lighten and look more natural over the following weeks. Aftercare instructions will be given to you at appointment.

It is a skin treatment procedure that involves an electric skin-needling device. The device contains 12 very fine needles. It is used during micro-needling procedures to break down old scar tissue and push skin cell generation by opening up the channels in you skin, allowing for any products you put on your skin post procedure to be 90% effective. Cell production leads to the creation of new layers of elastin and collagen fiber and leads to improved blood flow in the skin.

Using hyaluronic acid the microneedling device slides along the skin, penetrates upper layers of the skin to a depth of up to 1.5 mm to create tiny needle wounds. By creating these wounds, this signals the body to respond by repairing while producing collagen and elastin fibers. As a result, the skin becomes fuller, thus reducing the appearance of scars, lines, and wrinkles.

Inflammation of the skin is very temporary and reduces greatly within a few hours. It may remain slightly pink for up to 48 hours after treatment. Using hyaluronic acid or aloe after the procedure can help reduce inflammation, and sunscreen can be used to protect the skin. Face Makeup should be avoided fort 24 hours post procedure.

Micro-needling can be safely repeated every 4-6 weeks as needed. Collagen induction requires at least 3 treatments, while scar reduction requires between 3 and 6. 4 to 6 weeks should pass between one treatment and the next, and the number of treatments needed depends on individual cases. Micro-needling can be used on all parts of the body (neck, d?collet?, arms, legs, etc). Usually results begin to appear after the first treatment.

Medical micro-needling is safe on all skin types and colors because the epidermis is not damaged during treatment. The chance of change in pigmentation or post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation is minimal. Skin micro-needling can be used on sensitive and fragile areas (eyes, neck, back of hands) that cannot be treated easily with other procedures. Micro-needling is not suitable for patients who have used Accutane (isotretinoin) within the last three months, have open wounds, cuts or abrasions, have had radiation skin treatment within the last year, are suffering from any skin infection, condition, or herpes simplex in the area of concern, are pregnant or breast feeding, have any history of keloid or hypertrophic scars or poor wound healing.
